I thank you for sharing that information with the rest of us. I think that it is important to give a background and updates on the person who has made outrageous claims and accusations of the owners of the dog. If she really did have a deep concern for all animals, I am forced to wonder exactly why Scoury did not “rescue” these kittens? They are wandering out in the cold, with no warm home waiting for them; meanwhile, when the owner contacted Scoury, she made it clear to her “devotees” that she was doing the “right thing” by keeping him with her to “protect” him from those “terrible” people. I agree that it sounds as if Scoury simply has no interest in helping any animals, unless it gives her an opportunity to create an illusion of superiority over another known member of our community. Definitely the actions of a true “angel”.

It concerns me, also, that Scoury stated in the new article that she had spoken with the SPCA officer on Wednesday, and yet she failed to mention the poor starving, freezing kittens. I am a true animal lover, and had I been made aware of those darlings, I would have taken them in myself. Since Scoury has decided not to take action in this, it is obvious that she must not have such a burning desire to “help those who cannot speak for themselves” unless it serves her in some way. I will be calling the Swift Current SPCA, asking for a pick up for those poor kittens (who, might I add, are in REAL danger). If anyone knows the location of their whereabouts, or if a “TRUE” animal lover has already taken them in, please post an update so that those of us who don’t have ulterior motives can step in to help.

To the residents of Leader: If you have not been able to understand the reality of the situation up until now, perhaps this will open your eyes to what Scoury’s actions were really all about. It had little to do with the fact that she was concerned, but was based on her selfish desire to “prove” that she was better than someone else. Her track record will confirm this observation.

I read the new article, and I am pleased to say, “Disgusted”, that you should be “disgusted” with yourself, and with Scoury and everyone else for “running your mouths” about something you knew nothing about. I know that I am “disgusted” with all of you. If Scoury really was “an angel”, she would have displayed quite a lot more tact, and respect of the owners’ privacy, until the investigations by the proper authorities were complete. I also was witness to Scoury’s postings on her Facebook account and would like to add “No, Jen. Shame on YOU”.

“Thankful”, I would hope that you are now eating your words because that “poor little puppy” did not need saving; he simply needed to go home.

To the “Ever Optimist”. You, my dear, are absolutely right, and you underline my point. This group of people are obviously assuming that everything Scoury says is truth; as I mentioned before, I have lived here most of my life, and I know her better than that. Although she may have thought she was doing the right thing, she was wrong. When someone calls to claim their pet, you release that pet to, and let the authorities deal with it. You do not take matters into your own hands, nor should you spread nasty rumors or assumptions to ruin the owner’s credibility and reputation.

“Gossip Silencer”, you make a good point. I suppose what Scoury and her friends are trying to say is that our local veterinarian, our RCMP officers, and the Swift Current SPCA are incapable of conducting investigations. Perhaps Scoury should look into having them investigated as well.

The pain and suffering that Scoury and everyone else has caused that family is irreversible, and I hope that they are able to move past it without too many harsh feelings toward our community.
