People across the west are discovering what Fox Valley residents have known all along – Maria Danvers is one amazing country music artist. Along with her musician husband Ben Beveridge, Danvers has been touring throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan since May to promote her first recording As Long As There’s You, which was released on July 2.
“We’ve had such good response with the music,” she told The Badger. “It’s been really inspiring, really encouraging me and getting me motiviated for the next album.”

So, the NFU has called for an inquiry into slaughterhouse and retailer beef profits. Don’t hold your breath.

Since May 1, area producers have been able to meet all their agricultural concerns at the newest Saskatchewan Agriculture office in Kindersley. Back in the spring of 1996, the Rural Service Centre Extension Office in Leader was closed with producers calling a 1-800 number to have their questions answered.
