Winter arrives with a windy fury

While the weather outside was frightful, road safety seems to have been delightful.
Both the Leader and Maple Creek RCMP detachments were incident-free over the weekend, despite the polished highways and poor visibility drivers would have encountered.
Many hockey games across the Southwest were cancelled this weekend as a result of the winter storm, which began shortly before midnight on Friday.
The Great Circle Airways flights of the 1957 DeHavilland Beaver were cancelled for both scheduled days of Dec. 5 and 6, but are rescheduled for Dec. 19 and 20.
