Travel advisory issued

23 January 2010 123 views No Comment

Poor conditions across the southern Saskatchewan belt have prompted RCMP to issue a travel advisory.
Highway travel west of Regina is not recommended as of 8:30 p.m. this evening (Jan. 23) due to heavy, wet snow and freezing rain.

Motorists should check highway conditions before leaving home. Click here for highway conditions.

If you must travel, bring a cell phone, tell family or friends what your planned destination is and what time you expect to arrive. Dress warmly, bring a shovel and an emergency kit – advice which applies throughout the winter season.

But if you do happen to be out, take a storm picture and send it to The Badger!
