Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei took a break from his fiery brand of apocalyptic politics to share his thoughts on the controversial amateur film, ‘The Innocence of Muslims.’
“I confess, I have not seen the entire film. I fell asleep during the first fifteen minutes but let me assure you, I saw enough to conclude that this was certainly no ‘Lawrence of Arabia.’
“In fact, ‘The Innocence of Muslims’ makes ‘Ishtar’ look like Kurosawa.
“The acting was dreadful and the cinematography an abomination but that’s what you get from an industry run by Jews.
“If I had cast the film, I would have used someone like Ben Affleck in the starring role, (have you seen ‘Argo’? (Oh My Allah!)). Stick a bushy beard on that Hollywood infidel, give him a sword and Peace Be Upon Him!
“In short, this was just another cheap American film with a twisted Zionist plot.”

Before making the leap into theocratic policymaking, Ali Khamenei was known as the Roger Ebert of Persia, reviewing films on his weekly program, ‘Ali’s Korner,’ where he helped popularize the chant, “Death to Israel! Death to America!” now used for the grand finale at Friday prayers.
