Numerous citizens are fast losing faith in our elected officials in Saskatchewan. Various citizens in the southwestern part of the province have taken the time and energy to write the premier and the minister of health concerning the problems with the Cypress Health Region.

The community of Southwest Saskatchewan has been given the opportunity by the Ministry of Health to achieve the highest standards of healthcare possible in rural Saskatchewan now and into the future.

Thanks to everyone who has nominated someone for The Great Exchange. This idea has been brewing at the back of my head for a long, long time.

Mailbox Madness
I try to visit the local post office five times a week. My interest in this Ottawa-run corporation is not casual.

Every year, around this time, I am overcome. Restless with spring fever, boredom, a sense of passing time and mortality – whatever it is, it’s unique to Saskatchewan.

There seems to be a lot of questions popping up about health care in the southwest region of the province.

Some of you may not like what I’m fixing to say this week, but I can deal with that.

Heathcare in the southwest is almost non-existent. When I came here in 1969 there was a doctor in every small community and small hospitals.
